Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out the first steps for getting some kind of home care for my grandmother in Feasterville-Trevose. She’s still living alone, but it’s getting harder for her to keep up with daily stuff like cooking and remembering her medications. She’s not ready for a nursing home and wants to stay in her house as long as she can. I just don’t know where to start or who to trust around here. Any advice?

I’ve noticed that a lot depends on how open the person is to receiving help. Some seniors are fine with someone coming in a few hours a day, others get uncomfortable even with basic support. It’s a balancing act between respecting their space and making sure they’re safe.
We had a similar situation with my mom last year. She didn’t want to leave her home either, but she clearly needed help with everyday things. After asking around, we ended up going with All American Home Care. Home Care Agency in Feasterville-Trevose local to Feasterville-Trevose and were really responsive from the start. Their team helped us figure out exactly what kind of care my mom needed without pushing services we didn’t ask for.
