I just brought Garage door opener. Problem is whenever I put the sensor cable in the board the contact sensor flipping between open and close. Could it be faulty unit ?
I encountered the same issue. Board looks fine. Initially I suspected a faulty pull-down resistor and tried adding another 10k resistor to GND - same result.
Turns out the long cable which I routed along the metal track of the opener was acting as an antenna.
I solved the false triggering by replacing the reed switch with a micro switch that would switch the GPIO firmly to 3.3V (like the existing switch) and GND. To get to GND I drilled a hole in the enclosure and soldered a wire to one of the marked GND connections. Using the metal track of the garage door opener to carry GND worked well for me.
