Looking for dependable high-purity chemicals for lab work

Finding dependable high-purity chemicals for lab work is a recurring discussion point among researchers. I recently encountered a site,

, which appears to focus on providing such crucial materials. The website states it offers "high-purity compounds supporting life science research," positioning itself as a source for research chemicals suitable for advanced discovery. Examples of listed items include Diphenyl Blue, NADH, and ATP, each specified with a CAS number, indicating a structured approach to chemical identification. The site also mentions "precision molecules | quantified science," suggesting an emphasis on accuracy. Has anyone investigated suppliers who specifically highlight such detailed scientific precision in their product descriptions?

ESP32-C3 power monitoring plugs?

Following on from my esp8285 not booting after a grid outage, I'm looking at replacing my power monitoring plugs that are esp8285 with a esp32 version?

Any plans for these?

athom esp8285 not booting after grid outage

All my athom esp8285 devices won't boot after a grid outage. They are units without relay and with. When the grid goes out and the power comes back, they appear to lock up. Not connected to wifi, don't engage the relay if set to be always on etc. Don't respond to button presses.

Seems to be a design flaw in the esp8285 range, as I also have athom esp32 devices and these all start correctly after the grid outage. The strange thing is, if I turn the device off and on again, it will boot happily until the next grid outage. So really hard to troubleshoot. Anyone aware of this issue or a fix? I've tried the API reboot, Wifi Reboot settings. But as the unit doesn't appear to boot, these don't kick in. As I said the device appears dead until you unplug it and plug it back in again.

UK V2 Plug for ESPHome

One of the 4 plugs purchased just switches off after a few minutes when being used. Worked perfectly for 2 months and now seems to have failed.

Has it failed, or is there any path to fix? Any ideas folks?

FYI: Still under warranty and purchased end of December 2025. I have emailed support but still awaiting a reply.

Every +month all my athom.tech devices disconnect

Every month/2 months all my athom.tech devices disconnect all together. I have a presence sensor/plugs/garage door opener, all esphome devices. After this happens they keep connecting and disconnecting every few minutes.. Resetting doesnt seem to work all to well. And for some reason they are able to connect again. All my other EspHome devices (other brand or self created) don't have this issue, so I am not 100% where the issue is.. I tried updating firmware but issue stays same so I can't check the devices firmware version after updating. please help.

Looking for devices with Thread (IEEE 802.15.4) radio

I'm looking for devices with e.g. ESP32-C5/C6 or H2 that can be flashed with ESPHome. Wifi is not needed. Device types could include Smart Plugs, Wall Switches, Smart Light Bulbs, and other types that are usually connected to mains power.

I wonder why I can't find these devices? Not even a single of them. There are tons of ESP32-C3, ESP8266 and the like…

Maybe a hint to Athom to include C5/C6 in their new designs.

Power meters without relay: almost 50% defective after ESPHome update

I purchased 10 PG01V2N-ESP-2 (power meters without relays). I wanted to assign individual names using the configuration file in GitHub. So I quickly started ESPHome in the Docker container, adjusted the two lines in the config and downloaded the file. I loaded this into the socket via the web interface as OTA. Of the 10 sockets, 4 no longer worked afterwards, and I have no idea why. The update worked without any problems for all the others. I forced open one socket to find that they are glued shut and there is probably no way to flash the ESP itself.

Do you have any ideas on how I can recover at least the 3 remaining sockets? Unfortunately, pressing the button in all variations did not help.

Edit: I also bought 2 few weeks ago, these 2 also worked fine with updating via ESPHome Docker Container. So in total 4 are…

HomeKit US Touch Switch not offered anymore?

Hello,

I see the SW03-HK-"n"US-W are no longer available under the HomeKit section.

But they are still available under the ESPHome section.

Can I order the ESPHome versions and flash them with the HomeKit bin firmware files that you have provided me in the past?

I would really like to buy quite a few more of the HomeKit versions to complete the transition of our house.

What goes in the "M1" area of the 8CH relay PCB?

Hello, I am looking into powering this module from the mains (as the relays will be used on 230V as well).

It looks like the PCB was designed with this in mind, with an unpopulated "M1" area that looks designed to accept another PCB on top.

I assume that this was made for a readily available AC-DC converter? What would be a pin-compatible reference?

The markings say "ZJW-1" and "M1".

Thanks in advance :)
